So....... I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with a girl that I kind of dated for a short while. It was both our first times seeing it. After it was over we were talking about it. Below is a synopsis of part of our conversation:

Julie: (Matter of factly) "Sometimes I wish I could do that whole thing with you."

Latch: (Shocked... with his jaw dropped, yet slightly laughing) "What the fuck did you just say?"

Julie: "You know erase the memories of time we've spent together."

Latch: "Yeah, I know I just watched the movie... Why... would you say that?"

Julie: (Almost crying) "Because you don't like me as much as I like you... I cry all the time because I never get to see you."

Latch: (Flustered) "Um, first of all, you live in North Carolina now... you moved there by choice. Second, I have ALWAYS treated you great and I can't even think of one argument we have had... other than me not having a lot of time to spend with you... Third, did you just watch the same fucking movie that I did... When have we ever not gotten along? Do you have ANY bad memories of me at all?"

Julie: (Tears in her eyes) "Well, I guess I shouldn't have really said that... I don't have bad memories or anything, but I'm sad because you're never around..."

Latch: (sarcastic) "O....K..... That makes sense."

Julie: (hugs me) "I'm sorry, can we forget that I even brought that up? That was stupid."

Latch: "Yeah... maybe we could go and get that last three minutes or so erased???"

(both of us laugh)


This is the girl that I hung out with for about three to four months last year... then she moved and I talk to her about once or twice a month now... or I see her when she is back in town (like last night and probably tonight). She is very sweet and cute, but what the fuck was that all about!?!

I liked the movie by the way...
