so still filling like crap, but it's the holidays, so I thought I'd list some of my favorite holiday specials(which wasnt easy, I ommited the great Rankin and Bass stuff because there is so much, and tried to cut down on multiple shows that have had great christmas specials)
EDIT: Credit is due to: Disney, Charlie Brown, and The Grinch-but I've had 5 more that needed to be added on.....
15) A Claymation Christmas Celebration
Can't believe I almost forgot this, definately a piece of my childhood.
14) Frasier Grinch
Just saw this again, and remembered how hilarious it is.
13)A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas
Kiss Saves Santa, need I say more?
12) X-Mas Story
Couldnt leave out Futurama, and their twisted take on the holidays.
11) Billy and Mandy Save Christmas
This so is so bizarre and amazing, and this special sums it up.
10) The Tick Loves Santa
Battling a supervillian who makes cloned Santas, whats not to love????
9) Rocko's Modern Christmas
This moment alone makes it, but IMO the best Nicktoons holiday special.
8) Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special
This makes me laugh harder than it should, but what the hell.
7) Christmas Wish
Pinky and The Brain was a great, and very underrated show, and this episode shows it(I believe it won an Emmy too).
6) Christmas Eve on Sesame Street
This was definately a favorite when I was little, I still love the thought of Muppets playing hockey.
5) Olive the Other Reindeer
Matt Groening did a great job with this special, it became a favorite quickly.
4) Holiday Knights
A great 3 part episode of "The New Adventures of Batman", just an amazing show.
3) Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire
This special always wins out as best for a Simpsons Christmas
2) Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics
South Park has had ALOT of funny Christmas episodes, but this is the best by far IMO(couldnt find a good Youtube clip, but I love this song). This episode also has a nice tribute to a cast member who has taken her life earlier that year.
1) A Muppet Family Christmas
This will always be my favorite, just a nice simple story. Plus it has characters from "The Muppet Show", "Sesame Street", AND "Fraggle Rock". IMO it's a pure classic.
so there's something to mull over with the hot cocoa and peppermint bark
