So my last post was over 2 years ago. Audrey and I celebrated our three year anniversary this week. Crazy to think in three years we welcomed a daughter, Audrey graduated with her PhD and we moved to Maine. Portland is really great and we're settling in pretty well but I'm still struggling finding satisfying work. IKEA was such a great company to work for and it's been hard for me to let that go. I'm not making the money I was and my current employer sucks.
Upside, I work with some really great people and as I said we're enjoying out time in Maine. We went snowboarding a couple of weeks ago and are planning on doing some snowshoeing. My in-laws bought me a sweet sled for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to injuring myself on it. The food and the beer here is amazing even though I have to enjoy in moderation so I can get the last 15 lbs off. We still haven't seen any moose except for the ones at L.L. Bean but we did see Moxie Falls back in October which was beautiful.
It's just a matter of time before I find the right job for me. It's just exhausting searching, applying and interviewing but I know it'll pay off. Hopefully sooner than later.
