Well,one of the hottest days of the year,and theyve decided to cut our water off...oh joy...no warning,nothing...wonderful....who knows when its back on,and to cap it all I have to go into work. Still,my crappy day is much better than poor kittyp's at the mo-go send her some good wishes,her last few days have sucked pretty badly frown kittyp

When I were a lad, and living in the student/hooker ghetto of Leeds, there was a water shortage one very hot summer. We had no mains water for two weeks eeek After a few days though the council and water board finally delivered trucks full of water and parked them on several street corners. It was like something out of the Third World - families queuing up with buckets and large cooking pots... Hope yours goes back on soon!

The City of Calgary (where I live) is threatening to turn off the water because with the insane amount of rain we had, the water is disgusting and the water treatment plant can't keep up with the demand that Calgarians are placing on it.

They're placing fines of $500-$2000 CAN for those who use the water
