I am really having second thoughts about going to Elk fucking Grove on Monday! But I have to, okay I don't have to, but I need to. 10 days away is not what I need right now though. I was like really super excited to go about a month ago, but now I just feel so-so. It's actually making me kind of depressed. I will go though and make the best of it. I have no idea what my schedule is going to be like so I am not sure how much time I will have to be doing stuff. But it looks like there is a mall near-by so if anything maybe I can get my daughter a cute little shirt that says, "My mom went away for 10 days and all I got was this tee-shirt." 
I left work early today and we went to the LA Zoo. My daughter is now obsessed with Kangaroos. Until tomorrow of course when she will have a new obsession. She is spending the majority of the weekend with her father and his parents. It bums me out, because clearly I should be getting to spend as much time with her as I can before I go away, but whatever.
So I'm a little depressed tonight. I did have a good day though at the zoo and such it was fun. Lots of little kids dragging their parents around.
