Today has been a sad kind of draining day for me.
Had to say good-bye to a really great friend who I won't see for a month. He stopped in and visited me at work though, before he got on his flight out of LA. He brought me a cute little soft monkey that I fondly have named JD. Kinda bummed still about not spending more time with him when I had the chance, but we'll stay in touch so it will be cool.
I am suppose to have my daughter all this week as I will be out of town next week. But her grandparents on her father's side have decided to make an unexpected visit* so she is staying with him and them to spend sometime with them. I did get to pick her up from daycare today. That's always fun. The little kid conversations that you hear as you walk through the building. The crying. The laughing. The sounds of little feet. Hearing that cute little voice scream "MAMA" as she bounds up into my arms! *sigh* Then dropping her off at her father's house is always hard. She cried and seeing her cry made me want to cry. I miss you my little HB!
But now I am back at work as it is still pretty early. I was going to go home after picking her up, but I have so much shit I have to get done before I leave next week and I don't want to leave anything unfinished that I don't have to. So I guess I should get back to work instead of leaving this rather long rant here.
