So I actually got off work last night and made it down to Albuquerque for the Burlesque Show. The show made me realize some things.
I want my own Indie Rock Girl Japanese band. Like I want to own them and have them in a little cage in my house. Maybe they could be my alarm clark. I bought a couple of the bands CD's and listen to them on the drive home last night. I was slightly disappointed. Just because the songs that they played before the girls went on stage were fuckin sick. I mean these little chicks threw the fuck down!! but then on their CD's I got there are only a couple of fast songs that I like. Maybe I'll listen to them more and they'll grow on me. I did see some other SGNM peeps out last night I think. I don't think that any one recodnized me. I actually saw Jetta in the crowd last night too. She's an intimidating looking chick for sure. Not by looks just attitude. Sexy. In all a great show. I had to cut out a little early but it was a good $40 investment. Support the cause of Naked Tattooed chicks and a Japanese Girl Rock band to kick ass across the USA!
In other news of the day. Some of my girlfriends parents friends were moving into a new place and needed to get rid of some nice antique furniture. My girlfriend had told me that she went to their house and picked out a new bedroom set earlier in the week. She also said there were some "Posters" that they wanted to get rid of, but there was nothing that she wanted. So we go and pick up and load all of the furniture, and I start to take a look at these"posters" Keep in mind that this couple is retired and insanley rich. The husband tells me "Yeah you can take anything you want." I look at one of the pieces and it appears to be an original pastel drawing of a Navajo woman. I look and see a signature "RC. Gorman". I was like
"Dont offer me again man or I'll take this one"
He replies " Jeremiah I have several Degas, and a couple of Picasso's. I doubt I'll miss a RC Gorman."
FUCKIN SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting it appraised in Taos this weekend.
