just got through watching Battle Royale. It was much better than i was afraid it might be. after reading both the manga series and the book....i thought there was a good chance it would just come across on screen as hokey. but i loved it. there were a couple of people that had battle royale tshirts at dragoncon. now i want one.
i have newly discovered crimson skies. i know it's an old game but i swore up and down i didn't like flying games. given it has been like 8 years since i played one and it was a stupid flight simulator with a joyskick on my dad's ancient computer. brooklyn told me i would like it...i refused. i was determined to prove him wrong...and now i'm addicted to the game like crack. but this stupid never ending gauntlet SUCKS!! why do they always feel the need to add shit like this. i just keep dying. grrrrrr..... maybe i was right to hate flying games, b/c maybe they hate me.

I loved Battle Royale the movie, so I bought the book. It was pretty cool, but I had a really hard time keeping track of 40 Japanese names.
We'll see what my finances look like for D*C next year. But I have two other trips I'm considering, so I probably won't make it. Though it would be a perfect place to unveil my Torgo costume, if I ever get around to putting it together.
