so i posted a long post in my lj about the con including about 70 pictures but....i don't see the capacity for it here...so a few highlights:
so due to my lack in funds, i volunteered to work in information systems. once i got my schedule i wasn't so excited though. the way they had our shifts split up i could barely attend any panels....but it was going to give me that $85 back that was sorely needed due to my lack in funds. suprisingly enough everything on that end worked out fairly well. i got in some practice on my signlanguage...thoroughly enjoyed the people that i worked with...and got to sit down...which was nice. there was little of that going on. my feet still hurt.
this year i actually got to attend the parade. it would be my first time i have actually gotten up that early. another plus to having to work soon after the parade. i didn't party near as much this year b/c i knew i had to be rested.
brooklyn seemed to have a really great time. tori looked great in all of her outfits. which i'm glad. she had a blast and we have already purchased our tickets for next year. $40 as opposed to $85 makes a big difference. since tori has now popped her con cherry she is already talking about all these plans she has for next year. tori also got to hang out with bella morte so she now has a new favorite band. their performance was AMAZING. we are talking about going to their show in north carolina with voltaire and the last dance. we will see. we neeed to quit spending money before the move to altanta though.
i brought brooklyn's digital camera with the intention to use it...but the lighting on it was bad. i have fixed some of the pictures in photoshop but sometimes there is only so much you can do. if the pictures are even remotely good.,...i took them with my camera. i did much better this year though...only 70 pictures....as opposed to my 130 from last year. i am pretty proud of myself.
the cruxshadows' performance was easily the worst i have seen. not that it was necessarily bad...it just didn't blow me away the way they usually do. the energy wasn't quite there and the acoustics of the room that they were in was bad. not to mention that it was too crowded and people spent the hour before the show arguing. the show was doomed to begin with b/c of lots of scheduling problems and communication problems and such. not to mention it was bad lighting for taking pictures. i don't want to even get into all the arguing about the line. i did get my cxs dvd though...which is amazing!! and the cruxshadows are still my favorite band in the whole world. hands down.
we did attend a couple of firefly things and was able to meet adam baldwin and get his signature. i can't wait for serenity to come out. i have completely fallen in love with adam. i hope the cast makes it to the con next year too. me and tori went to the firefly/serenity shindig on friday night and danced till we were sweaty and exhausted.
some of my highlights was all of the people dressed as the doctor who's...all of the compliments on anachronaut's falls....meeting eric powell and getting his signature....got peter mayhew's signature....hanging out with landon and emily and danny....all the costumes....seeing voltaire play....it was just great. i can't wait till next year. now let me make the promise i made last year....i am going to be so much more prepared next year when it comes time for the con. fuck this last minute stuff. (but like i said...i said that last year too.)

Random small worldness: I saw you commented on one of my LJ friend's journals. She says she worked with you at D*C, she ran Info services. We used to RP a lot online. How weird is that?
