you remember how i wrote previously that our room smelled bad and i thought it was my clothes....evidently it wasn't. my sister's fish died over the weekend while I was at Dragoncon. hmm....i wonder now how long it took her to notice that it was dead. not a good sign. poor benny. it needs to be outlawed for my sister to have pets. it has yet to be a good idea...it is just that too much time passes between pets that we forget how bad of an idea it was. i am listening to nightraven radio right now that has interviews from dragoncon. it is actually really interesting. i have never taken time before to listen to online radio due to the fact that i have dialup and i thought i would have to wait for buffering...but there is no delay whatsoever on this. does anyone know if all online radio is like this? maybe i could find some cool stuff to listen to online. man!
last night we went to see Cruxshadows play in Jacksonville at this club called Thee Imperial. no that is not a spelling error. The club was interesting to say the least. There were two bands that were local. One of them, evidently this was their first show ever. it wasn't bad. they covered Nirvana. Then the second band had an amazing bassist but the singer was terrible. Both underground cheap hardcore music. i can't thing of any other way to describe it. nobody there was into it. the club was tiny but had all of these really cool paintings on the wall. In the girls bathroom was actually a painting of Meatwad from ATHF telling us to "Go Pee Pee" Awesome! The Cruxshadows were amazing as usual. Played the same set from Dragoncon. It is so terrible that we have gotten to see them twice in one week...i have been spoiled. Now we have to wait until November to see them again. I called Joe today that does the booking at the Beta Bar and he is going to see if he can get them scheduled at the Beta Bar in November also...so at least then we can see them twice then too. We got to hang out with Rogue for a while afterwards. I know his band has to get to tired of him standing around and talking while they pack up all of the equipment. he is just such a nice guy to talk to.
i was hoping to catch Voltaire's interview on the Nightraven Radio but i guess i have missed it....Mike didn't get off the phone with his girlfriend so i got on 15 minutes late. Dammit!!
