*WARNING* Long long long long post ahead!

Man oh man. I slept all day long! My room smells funny for some reason. It might be all of my disgusting clothes that at the moment i am too damn lazy to wash. Man, where to start. Well leaving was a disaster to begin with. We were supposed to leave on Friday morning but the interstate was so backed up from the hurrican evacuators that it was at a complete stop. We decided to go ahead and leave on Thursday night at 2am. What should have been a 4 hour drive turned into us getting to Josh's apartment at 8:30 in the morning. So we got a wonderful two hours of sleep. We got to Dragoncon about 12 and stood in line for about an hour to get our badges. We had this program with all of the cool panels that we wanted to go to but we didn't make it to any of them b/c we were so busy walking around looking at the dealer tables and the cool costumes that people had on. Dennis was a blast to hang out with. He never fails to make me laugh and we were both equally excited about EVERYTHING. My mind went into overdrive from all of the cool geeky stuff and i got to the point that i couldn't even finish sentences. *smile* We did go to a Gothic Music panel where we discussed music for an hour. Voltaire, Rogue, and William Faith were there along with another guy that me and Dennis didn't recognize. It was really awesome. We spent most of our time on Friday in the art gallery. Some of the stuff there was absolutely amazing. Especially this one particular artist: Mike Weaver (www.ifxe.com). I bought like 5,000 prints of his work. I am going to try to order more too later on. Oh yeah, and we saw Voltaire play on Friday too. He is so funny....and I had forgotten how incredibly gorgeous he is too. man oh man.

On Saturday, we were going to try to make it to the parade but Dennis forgot his wallet...so we had to go back to Josh's to pick it up. It wasn't a big deal at all except my feet hurt before we even got to dragoncon. I took two rolls of film on Saturday alone b/c there were so many cool costumes. We watched Faith and the Muse play an acoustic set then Voltaire was supposed to play again but evidently didn't b/c there was no room for him to play where he was scheduled to play b/c there were so many people. Now I know Dragoncon has been going on for many many years so they have had TONS of time to perfect everything but the way they had everything set up was ingenious. They were using two hotels, the Regency Hyatt and the Marriot. And there was stuff EVERYWHERE. I spent WAY too much money. We had a Cruxshadows fairy meeting where we got all of these flyers and we spent many hours passing them out to people trying to talk them into coming to the show. I had a blast laughing at people running away from Dennis....He doesn't think it was funny that i spent so much time laughing at him. i was laughing WITH him even though he wasn't laughing. he just doesn't see it that way. We also made it to a Star Wars Combine panel where the makers of the online game discussed it. It was really neat to me. Dennis is a sweetheart for sitting through it. He doesn't like Star Wars. We went to the Dawn Look-Alike Contest but left after a while b/c there were just too many people there...and you couldn't pay attention to what was going on b/c of all of the talking. Then we walked around a little more...talked to Rogue and then went and met all of the Suicide Girl Atlanta people. That was really fun. I was glad to get to meet everybody. Funny Story: This guy is walking around with a spoon and asked me if I knew what he was dressed up as. "A DRUNK BASTARD!" he yells laughing hysterically. I asked him what was up with the spoon and he said he had wandered into the wrong hotel room and stole it from some people that refused to give him alcohol and now he was walking around showing it to people. Well about an hour later, I see a Gir costume. So I run over and try to get Dennis to come take a picture of me with him. Well this spoon guy walks up and says he will take a picture with his camera phone which he immediatly emails me from his phone, *See the hilarious picture at the bottom of the spoon guy* Well evidently he forgot that he had met me earlier b/c he again asked me if i knew what he was dressed up as. I of course said: "let me guess...a drunk bastard?" He yells "Wow!! how did you know???" And proceeds to whack me really hard right on the forhead with the spoon and runs off. I couldn't quit laughing about this for a long time. Finally me and Dennis give up and go home tired to Josh's...where I...like an idiot...stay up all night playing kung fun chaos with josh. so no sleep again for molly.

Sunday we pass out more flyers for the CXS show....talk to the other Cruxshadows fairys...watch Voltaire play again....did i mention how hot he is??? *smile* Look at all the cool costumes....hmmm....yeah. my feet are killing me at this point. The halo costumes were there that day. Man!! That was one of the highlights for the whole weekend. We even got one of the guys to melee the other one in the back for a picture. It was awesome!! The 501st was there. That was really cool. for all you non-star wars junkies, those are the costume people. They had all these cool storm troopers costumes and tuskan raiders...and darth vaider. it was insane. There were a lot of half naked people there too. and not so "half" naked either. We got to meet Ted Naifeh (comic book artist for Courtney Crumrin) Eric Powell (Goon) and David Mack (Kabuki). I also got my picture taken with Ray Park and David Carradine. Peter Mayhew was there...man! he is so tall. OH! haha. i feel bad for laughing at him but Lorenzo Lamas was there...and there wasn't a single person at his table getting autographs. it was so sad...and funny. we did laugh about that for a long time. he looked so lonely with his hands in his lap looking around. Oh and the kid that played Boba Fett in Episode II was there..but i can't remember his name. I met the guy that played Sauron in LOTR too. Besides that...we just walked around and spent LOTS of money..i mean LOTS. We got in line two hours early for the Cruxshadows show and we weren't the first people there. Faith and the Muse played first. They were really really good and had two songs that were completely percussion that were insane. Then Voltaire played again...Yes, that makes the third time for the weekend. It wasn't very fitting b/c Faith and the Muse were so good and energetic and then you get Voltaire...playing acoustic guitar...but it was still good none the less. He played "anniversary" which is an amazing song. Then the Cruxshadows played. And let me say, that out of all of the concerts that I have seen, this is one of the best...if not THE best. I can't even describe how incredible it was, other than i was actually brought to tears at one point. Rogue is so energetic on stage and obviously loves his music...and he is so personal...and his excitement is contagious. It was really really good. They had a new dancer who had just been with them for a week. she did really well for only a week. and the guitarist was new too. he was really nice and did really well. they even played track 17 off of ethernaut....which i didn't expect them to do. wow. i can't say anything else about it. i can't wait until we go to see them play again on thursday in jacksonville. after that we went to a fetish party for a little while and then walked around, talked to Danielle, met a boy trying to lose his virginity *yeah.....okay......* and then finally went back to Josh's at 5am. needless to say we slept in for a little while on monday...went to dragoncon just for a few minutes for dennis to spend more money. we wanted to talk to voltaire before we left but his table had a uber long line as usual. we said goodbye to the Cruxshadows, went out to Olive Garden with my aunt and then came back to Valdosta.

....and that is my trip to Dragoncon. I know that I have forgotten about 15,000 things...i do know that i took 5 rolls of pictures and will have those online soon. Of all of the people in the world that i could have gone to dragoncon with, i don't think i could have had near as much fun with any of them as i did with dennis. i am so glad that we went together. he was so much fun. why does he have to be so wonderful? i did get hit on a lot and my boobs got fondled by random people...but that isn't really worth talking about. evidently if you wear a duck tape corset...it is asking for creepy guys to come up with you. *cringe* man....i think i am going to go ahead and buy my tickets for next year. *smile*
