So! we went to see The Cure last night. Great fucking show!! I am not a big fan of arena rock...i pretty much try to avoid it...but you don't get many chances to see The Cure. So we made the 4 hour drive to Atlanta. It wasn't so bad b/c it was Me, Tori, and Jenn in one car together and we talked the whole way there. I didn't like the first band Mogwai but Rapture was fantastic! I have to find their cd. There was so many people at the ampitheater that I wasn't going to try to get to the merchandise booth...besides they were selling shirts for 30 bucks a peice and they didn't have any records which is what I would have wanted anyways. I wore these stupid boots that gave me blisters. I will have lots and lots of pictures posted on here in the next two days. I just have to get a hold of Jenn's digital camera wire to plug it into my computer.
Funny Story: At the show, we were sitting at the top of the hill about 3 feet in front of the back wall. There was this group of 5 of us...and we are all dressed in black clothes and I guess we looked interesting or like scenesters b/c this guy came over with this really really nice videocamera and told us that he was doing a interview and video of the show and wanted to ask us questions to use for it. Anyways, while I am talking in the camera...this guy pops over the back wall and slides down and just sits there. It was really funny. The guy was trying to get into the show for free and happens to pick the one spot in the wall that this guy is videotaping. After the interview was over, the guy taping it showed it to the guy that had jumped over the wall and all he could say was "I had to go over a barbed wire fence too!" It was really funny.
And I forgot to mention that we got offered pot to smoke by a whole bunch of different people b/c they kept coming up to sit by us to smoke so they wouldn't get caught. Did we look like potheads?? *smile* Anyways Robert Smith was fucking fantastic and they played "Just Like Heaven" and we all danced and Dennis even got teary-eyed b/c he liked it so much so it was just a great great time!
