well for a day that started so poorly yesterday, it actually ended really well. i woke up yesterday b/c i was supposed to work the voting polls and my knee hurt so bad that i couldn't straighten it out, much less walk. so i never made it to the polls. i ordered some address labels a couple of months ago in the mail and they finally came yesterday....well the box came. i opened it and it was empty! all the box had was that stupid envelop of advertisements that always come with anything mail-order. man i got jipped. i also got a letter in the mail saying that i had an unpaid ticket from lanier county from while i didn't have my driver's license. i haven't driven since i lost my license and i have never gotten a ticket in lanier county. so someone was driving on my license. i have gone through a couple b/c i am good at losing them. but despite my bum knee i was determined to make it to the concert last night and i am so glad that we did. So dustin, jon, jared, steve and i went to jacksonville to see coheed and cambria, thursday, and afi. it was an incredible show. we had an awesome view. coheed and cambria, which are my favorite band in the whole world, this was my first time getting to see them live. The show was short but good. it was like the made teh set -list for me. they played my 3 favorite songs from the new album and 2 favorite songs from the old album; including ending the show with Everything Evil which is my favorite song. i even made a shirt and wore it to the show with lyrics from everything evil on it. I got to meet the lead singer after the show who told me he loved the shirt and was impressed that i made it, and he signed my ticket. YAY! then thursday played. i have seen them probably eight times live. they used to be one of my favorite bands but have gotten adopted by all of the local 13-year olds here so i can't sport my thursday gear anymore. well what was funny about the show is for every song that they played off of the new album Geoff did this robot kind of dance thing.....yeah. and they didn't even key the drums in till the second song. so it was probably the worse show i have seen them play. Then AFI came on. and there are no words to describe the incredible stage presence that Davey has. it was amazing. I have new found respect for them. It was good good stuff. i am glad that i decided to go even though i had to stand on one leg the whole time, a cup of beer was $5 and spent way too much money on merch afterwards. i am just glad that i had to give directions so i got to sit in the front seat the whole ride there and back. *smile*
