Saw Clerks 2 tonight.

Bill's quick capsule review: Piece Of Shit.

I mean I knew it was supposed to be sub-par, but this was just awful. At least we were warned to stay away from Jersey Girl (putting J Lo in it was warning enough), but when the "Clerks" name was put on this one I certainly didn't expect a love story. Much less multiple love stories, including the touching story of how two friends go on a journey of feelings and come to realise just how much they mean to each other.

Two things were missing from this movie: Hugh Grant and Meg Ryan. And maybe Tom Hanks. Any or all of the above would have finished it off perfectly.

I guess he wanted to make Disney happy this time and make up for his 'blasphemous' Dogma.

I'll admit, the dialogue and humour were still very good, and very faithful to the style of the original. But the love story aspects of it were far too central, too frequent and, frankly, too 'love story-ish' for my liking.

How dissapointing, I did worry about this one Kevin Smith must be getting soppy. whatever I complety forgot that he had anything to do with Jersey girl frown ... is it better than Jay & Silent Bob, I do hope so.
