The clocks went back yesterday.
So, Sydney really only has two seasons that I can see. Summer segs into winter. Hot and then slightly colder and dark.
Looking at my posts of late I've been pretty dark. Sorry to anyone who stumbled across them, it's self exorcism for me.
Winter down under is funny, it's a complete headfuck. It's rarely cold compared to what I'm used to, and I can wear shorts all year round if I chose to, but houses don't seem to be built for it. No central heating.
Travelled home in the pitch dark tonight, funny how much difference the clocks going back does. My stop is right in the country, so was proper horror show dark when I got home. Stuck on some Cough on the stereo, had a lamb stew I'd made over the weekend and drank one anchor beer. Just enough to savour.
Going to see Windhand & Cough at the Mewtown Social on Wednesday. It'll be great and sad, being as it's another music venue in Sydney that's closing.
Dark nights and doom metal. Great bed fellows.
