Last night met my from Durham last night and his german girlfriend. He's been with her 2 years and speaks no german, so we conversated a bit and he had no idea what we were saying. Was hilarious.Turns out shes from a small hamlet in North Germany that most people, even in Germany havent heard of. I spent a week there camping in an orchard behind a Holocaust survivors house..freaked her out I knew her local bar..hehe
He wanted to play cards and was annoyed he hasn't brought a deck with him. Pissed himself laughing when after asking if I had any in my bag of randomness and I pulled out two decks, dice and marbles....in the end half the bar was talking-to me working out what else was in my bag. If an apocalypse ever comes the zombies won't have a chance!
What I love about here is everyone really tries to be uber cool and different. Me, I'm just myself. I do the same geeky things ic always done, carry bags make lists in my book smoke my pipe. Yet here in not mocked, people talk to me and think I'm cool! I'm not, but I like the idea. 5 people asked for a smoke of my pipe last night, that was funny. My sister has lived here six years an if we walk down the street I'll see someone I know (well, I know them well enough to say hello to lol) and she is just amazed. Haha
Some items I travel with....a mini amp speaker, dice, a bag if screws/nails/pins, guitar picks, torch, penknife, ts Eliot book, chopsticks and fuses
Went through my little book last night and read an old list '10 ways to expel myself from the human race in a truly Darwin-esque way' must have been a bad day ;0) anyway...here is one example- decry a religious icon (the one you are not allowed to comment on lol) on a non censored web page, stating my name and address etc, liken him to a McDonalds happy meal with a broken toy and too much salt...
Got a house yesterday, just need to find out when I'm moving in....
