Straight to hell boy, go straight to hell boy...
I havent blogged for a few days on here...its all been go.
I went for an interview on Wednesday, wore shirt and tie...the whole smart thing. The woman interviewing me had more, well maybe not more, tattoos than me. She had a shitload anyway, lets put it that way.....
Got out of the interview and she called me within about 20 minutes to tell me I'd got it. Was so happy. Its a sales job, which will keep the wolves from the door. Money is getting tight. I start Tuesday. Strange, cool things happen to me in my life and I never think about them. On the way to the interview, I had to register with the Job agency who sent me for it, and they had sent me a map which was completely wrong. I stopped a guy outside an office block to ask him directions, he was a recruitment consultant. He's got me another interview for 1pm today. I then have an assistant Managers Job tomorrow - onm a Saturday, which is just mad, and a final interview for the job I really want. I wont go into that as I dont want to excite myself about something that may not happen.
Still, Im pretty proud of myself. Ive been here since the 19th...11 days and I have got a job, a house and made friends.
I went to the Theatre on Wednesday, One of the girls I made friends with works there and got me a free ticket. Meeting them tonight, I fucking love it here....dont get me wrong, I miss Scotland in some ways - some great friends that kept me alive and sane over the last few weeks still live there. But this place feels like home right now, will it always? Too soon to say!I was starting to think that I was mad by making the move, but Ive always found it easier to find work in England.
Well, its the bank holiday weekend, start of the Brighton festival, bands, theatres and events....sounds pretty cool....i know Im going to have a good weekend...
My iPod just mixed Jurrassic 5 into Kenny Rogers and finally Slayer...genius!
