Man, its been a heavy week....yesterday i truly thought I was going to break. I had some pretty dark thoughts but Im cool now. After 5 weeks, it gets a bit less of an adventure crashing at peoples houses. My Sister and her man have been more than supportive, but I need a place of my own. I can see myself wanting to shout at them for asking me if I want a cup of tea...i mean thats not right!
Ive seen a couple of really cool places over the last two days, but I was getting stressed that they were looking for a professional - which I am - and I would have to explain that I currently dont have a job. I have an interview tomorrow and Im walking the streets today canvassing anywhere i think looks realistic. This is really not a town I want to cover up my tattoos though...the place is totally crazy....Crazy cool.
I got a place yesterday, I walked up the street and just hoped the house I saw was the one that was for rent. Went in, paintings and photos everywhere, home made furnature - of unbeleivable standard - Aya, the Japanese woman who was advertising was making food which smelled amazing, her mad Marchello was just mad. Drank Green Japanese Tea with roasted rice, chatted about oregami, eastern culture, his pinhole camera photos - I didnt even feel like I was looking at a house - It was a lifestyle. Attic room, the best lighting ever, all to myself. I get it Monday....I cant wait....
Took a walk last night. Brighton just rocks. Within 10 steps I saw a woman, leaning into a house doorway (without anyone in the house) singing Handbags and gladrags, while strumming her accoustic and singing into an amplified mic....I didnt even look twice, then an African girl with a short skirt and top on - weaing plasterers dust suit over it.....and finally a guy sitting in a deck chair on a side street dressed like rennie macintosh...Was like an Acid flashback....I cannot see myself getting bored of this place....
Todays adventure starts in t minus 50. Cant wait....Taking my shorts and a t in my bag and going down the beach after job hunting......If I get a job Im sorted......heres hoping...
