So far I've driven 2800km across 3 states in my 82 Rabbit. It has a mis-matched Frankenstein MK2 motor, and it barely crawled out of the desert after the weekend.
In the past 4 days I've rebuilt the front and rear hubs, wheel bearings, shocks, struts, tie-rod ends, exhaust, fuel injector seals, and tuned the mis-matched injector system.
All on borrowed equipment, and all with getting knocked back every step of the way.
Also helped rebuild a 64 air-cooled Porsche motor as payment. (last picture)

Heading North tonight to SF and the Bay Area.
