This Friday is surgery day. I'm getting the lapband. My nerves are high, but I know it'll be good for me in the long run. I hear the recovery is quick ,3-4 days. It's the recovery diet that is long. First week is liquid only. Second is pured foods or smoothies. Slowly introducing new foods to my diet. Adios beer and any carbonation. It will expand the area made by the band. Of course weight loss is the overall goal, but the benefits of the weight loss are what I'm looking forward too. Reducing my prescriptions to zero, being able to have a active lifestyle, and my main reason is to take the weight off my back and let it heal. See you on the other side.
