I am certain that your friend just simply did NOT see you!

Here is a virtual embrace for you, mon ami. Feel better, okay?? kiss kiss

Been there. Well, it was years ago, and it was because I destroyed myself with too many drugs, and walked around feeling hte same way. I really hope you find what it is that you need to be balanced and happy again. Work towards it.

hmmm, life is so weird. i've been working on an intense personal project, so i have'nt had a lot of time to just relax. most of my friends have vanished once again, to the east coast, so i stalk through my house, watching c-span and studying dzogchen. been tired a lot, and a little lonely. a friend gave me a bootleg of "The Quiet Earth"....

as certain as color
passes from the petal,
irrevocable as flesh,
the gazing eye falls through the world.
cybele:
*sigh* How beautiful. Your words?? I needed a "bit of beauty", having experienced "Farenheit 9/11" this weekend. An amazing film, but one I found deeply depressing. Surely gets one's blood boiling, though.

So nice to have you back. Don't stay away quite so long next time! kiss

earlier i watched reagan's funeral. it was a strange and telling event for me. though now i can't imagine how it could be any different, it struck me how militaristic it was. it simply blew my mind. i had a hard time remembering that someone had died. there were just so many weapons! it threw me for a loop. it made me remember what i...

I think the Dirty Three is everybody's favorite live show. That was definitely my favorite show to shoot, even more than Cex, who posed for me, or Oneida in their Guess Who-looking days. Even my mom likes the D3, and she wanted prints of everything I shot at that show.

So, have you heard that double LP that charalambides put out recently? I picked up the Unknown Spin reissue on Kranky, which was amazing, but haven't seen the new one anywhere.
ghostism:
hey mister....wondering about your musicating. what do you do actually? i live knee deep in processed guitar and laptop hum with many a field recording expedition. i am wondering if you would enjoy a little music swap? maybe mp3's across the wire? i will have a site up soon but until then.......you can find me at particles_collect@yahoo.com.au wink

when john cage stepped into an anechoic chamber, he dicovered that silence was impossible. the sound of his own body was too much to bear.
ghostism:

lately i've been scouring my local newspaper stand, looking for lit mags to submit my poetry to. is there no more interest in formalism out there? am i barking up the wrong tree? looking at past issues of my own journal, i realize that i am.

my one, unending obsession is the impotence of language, the teetering connection between word and object, perhaps word as...

Gosh, that's a pretty impressive list of films! Are you sure you aren't moonlighting as film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times?? wink

Yeah, Ms. Bacall is indeed a "class act." Gorgeous!

It's hard to gaze at something, and not want grasp it.

lately i've felt like i'm window shopping through life, as us solitary creatures are prone to do.

moths orbit the nocturnal light, and encircle with curling patterns. bats inhabit the shadow play, and scream silence, when the noise dies away.
