my life has'nt been very exciting latelyi've been working on recording an album after a long period of being basically dorman musically. i've been thinking of ways to incorporate my poetry into my music (which never has lyrics, as i can't sing a lick.) so i don't have to continue sacrificing one for the other, in a way that is not over the top and...

interesting week! went to our fine contemporary art museum, and was pretty terrified by what i saw. the leve of fear and anxiety in the art was a littlle overwhelming. i could'nt relate to it, and felt a little lost. is that the only thing that is going on in the world? am i missing something? i don't know. i was deeply saddened.
however, i...

i'd say this is good stuff........yes, SY was "good" not great, and i liked wolf eyes, mainly for the balls they have to produce sonic mayhem.......my friend said most of the people there were probably not old skoo youth heads, otherwise they would appreciate why sonic brought them along on tour..

things have gotten sub-tropical in the chicago area. hot. sticky. murky. wet. pretty cool, but kind of gross. ah...summer.
finally, i've heard locusts in the area, sometimes faint, undulating, droning and simply lovely in detail. twilight is the best time to take in the drone. they are building a house across the street where i live, so it's hard to hear anything besides for the...

I love listening to the sounds in the environment. You might be interested in The World Forum for Acoustic Ecology. http://interact.uoregon.edu/MediaLit/WFAE/home/index.html
Good articles there too.
Also Earthear has a lot of field/environment/cityscape sound recordings that are more artistic and less simpleminded like new-agey recordings covered in cheap synth sounds.
http://www.earthear.org/
I think people could learn so much if they listened to the sounds around them.
