Everyone in his childhood had a favorite book. She seemed the most magical, and her characters were sometimes closer friends. Such a book would like to endlessly leaf through and re-read again and again. Each page in it was more expensive than gold.
"There are only a couple of books that I reread twice." One of them is my favorite book from school childhood "Dandelion Wine" by Ray Bradbury. What is so special about her and did she somehow affect me? Hardly ...) But she always associates with me with the holidays and the sunny summer spent with my grandmother.
Very similar in spirit - the books of Fazil Iskander, which I also really love. These are the first books that are not quite childish, where, in addition to simple descriptions, you suddenly find phrases that are consonant with you, which you want to reread or write out. When you are surprised that someone feels this world just like you, and at the same time can describe it in words.
Even when I grew up, I was very happy when the continuation of "Dandelion Wine" - "Summer, Farewell!" Came out. But childhood memories of the first book remained, like this wine from dandelions - "a summer caught and bottled in a bottle" ( Quote from the book).
