Gawd-dammit I'm tired. I wasn't even out late or up too late even (for me...heh). I met with the DJ I'm starting to promote events with last night. We went to see a program at the Chicago Cultural Center. The Cult Center, as I like to call it, has some of the most beautiful mosaic tile work I've ever seen - it's all over the building. I found a location for my SG shoot! And it's gotta be on the DL, cuz I hit it off with the head of PR of the Cult Center who booked the program we went to. I told her what I want to do and she's gonna make it happen
The program we saw was a great multimedia event with a superb DJ & AMAZING visuals from a duo known as Psymbolic. Click on VISUALS on their site map to get just an idea of what we saw. They do live visual looping of multi-projected images. THEY ROCK!!!
They will be working with us on an upcoming party we're planning for next February at a 10,000 square foot loft space. It'll be a combo Playa Vibe/Burner party with Bombay Beatbox.
As it turns out, the DJ I've hooked up with has been to Burning Man 11 years running and is part of the Blue Light District camp, the first theme camp. His older brother is one of the original burners... back from the 1st burn on the beach in Cali. AND his close friend studied classical composing with my brother... it's a small world.
Okay, I'm at my temp gig... I should work before I fall asleep.
