Oh Man! I watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure again tonight. What a brilliant film. Have you watched it since the first time? Have you seen it all? The parallels to the old old old horror films? The old black and whites? The extended suspense-building silence during a close up?

There are so many things to discover in this movie. Remember when Pee Wee picks up the horn from Dottie in the bike shop? The camera films it so it looks like he's grabbing her boob, when he's grabbing the horn. And before he goes in, the clown he chains up to appears to be butt-fucking him. Remember when Pee Wee's playhouse was on HBO? When it really wasn't a kids' show - before it became a kids' show?

So much is so good about that film. Everyone should go watch it. Seriously.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that I resembled Edith. Oddly enough, I got that again today. First time in years, but there was a period in school where I heard it all the time.
