Okay, the interview results:
I went, had the interview at the salon for the 'Salon Coordinator' position (I can't style until I graduate), but they did not tell me at the time that it was evenings they needed to fill. I can't do that because I need to be home for my daughter. HOWEVER, they are going to be filling an apprenticeship position in 4-5 months, which will be perfect for me.
The salon is very progressive, focuses on continuing education, and is owned by 4 former 20-year Joico platform stylists. Needless to say, it's a Joico salon... That is also the same product line in my school. The owner also gives colour classes at my school, and I was the only volunteer for demonstrating the application of the new line when we switched from the Color-Sync sh-tuff, so he remembered me
*bling* . See, it helps to be a go-getter!
Well, if all goes as it SHOULD, this will work out for me famously. I'm crossing my fingers and praying to all the deities I can remember/think of, and making a few up. I'll pray/worship you, too, if you can help!
So, last week I actually handed my number out to a boy for the first time in ages and guess what? No phone call. LOL! Maybe it's because I didn't make out with him that night? Lord help me that night was BRUTAL!!! After I went to Suicide Saturday I went to a local bar by my house to cool off! Woot! There were some boys interested. There were some words exchanged between them. There was actually talk of the alley! It was like the movies! I always thought I'd be so very charmed. Shit... When boys be all like slurrrrrrryyyyy, it's nothin' but icky.
Line used on me:
"Baby, I would love to take you out back and make you feel... unbelieveable. And you wouldn't even have to reciprocate. Like in a car - or a truck - whatever you drove..."
!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes, very charming.
Me: "No."
Guys, please, for the love of Pete, don't use that line. It won't work......
That's today's advice from gigi...

Pick-up lines suck. And I hate when guys are graphic about what they want to do to me when they hit on me.
