First off, anyone who knows me knows I have an unhealthy love affair with vanilla. Right now I'm drinking vanilla vodka (and root beer, a great combination), there's vanilla ice cream in the fridge, I have vanilla candles, I have vanilla shampoo and conditioner that I use, and today at Bath and Body Works I found vanilla lotion and vanilla shower gel. I've been searching for vanilla scented lotion for so long, and the shower gel is an added bonus.
Oh yeah, I'm also 100% straight...sober. That number drops a bit when drunk, but that's neither here nor there.
Also, today was bookstore day, so I've got a few more gems.
Graham Greene's Collected Stories. Start with the Destructors, fall in love with the 52 stories after it.
High Lonesome by Joyce Carol Oates: New And Selected Stories 1966-2006. She does have a dirty mind for an old lady, but she's good at what she does.
The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner. I won't even try to explain this one to you, buy it, read it, love it.
Brief Interviews With Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace. I'm torn between whether he's a talented writer or a pretentious prick. The jury is still out on this one.
I keep cupping my hands over my face and taking in deep breaths. Seriously, vanilla does things to me...

Hmmm... Interesting combination actually. There's a vanilla soda you might like down here where I live, don't know if you guys have it or a similar drink.
