So the 4th of July came and went, and it functioned pretty much like any other day I have off. I went to see Transformers with my parents, the movie was great the second time around.
Went home and grilled steaks. They were big and juicy and all sorts of delicious. Of course with my dad being on a cooking team there is BBQ all over the house, and for about 2 weeks straight I've had it every day. I'm starting to gain weight again and that is just. not. an. option. I've gone from 187 to 192, very bad indeed.
I hung out with Jared and Brandy after lunch, losing my phone at his grandparent's house. From there we went to her Aunt's house and shot off some fireworks. Her cousins were there, young redneck boys I had nothing in common with. I don't own a truck and I know nothing about hunting. Also I don't like boys for a few reasons.
So I figured I'd test the waters, see what kind of reaction I'd get from revealing my "big childhood secret" (see two posts back) in a private conversation and like I thought they thought I was making it up. Of course just saying it out loud sounded kind of silly, I mean it just comes out weird. Also I'm the kind of person where I'm rarely serious and I joke about everything so I'm sure turning around, acting very serious, and then saying something that honestly sounds silly when spoken, even though it's dreadfully serious, doesn't work well in my favor.
I think I'm going to take back my idea of actually confiding in someone what happened because I've just got to accept that no one will be able to be in a serious conversation with me and be able to take me seriously. I guess that's just karma biting me in the ass for years of not taking myself seriously.
I also learned that I can not fit into Jared's swim shorts without looking ridiculous. The kid is a good 40-45 pounds less than I am, even though he's roughly the same size. That and the incessant taunting from Brandy didn't help either (That's okay, she called her cousin hot and I ragged her on that for the rest of the night).
My cell phone was found and at the end of the night I had to drive back to Jared's grandparents house to retrieve my phone. They left it in their mailbox, problem was I couldn't remember which house was their's because it was pitch black out so I had to look through 3 or 4 mailboxes before I found the right one and I'm just glad that no cops were around, that would have been hard to explain.
On that note I'm off to bed for tomorrow is a day filled with nothing to do. I will make sure that I hang out with ZERO couples tomorrow. I can only play the 3rd wheel so much before I try to stab myself with a fork.

you know, I had a pretty awesome birthday considering I hardly got any sleep.

We went to shogun! (I go there like every week, but it was still really fun!) I love that place. You should go there soon.

Then the melting pot, OMG. Have you been there? Melted chocolateeeeeee

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the birthday wishes and being positive when I certainly wasn't.

Have a good day smile!

I love hibachi type restaurants, but when they do the fire and their little throw the knife around thing, I always get a panic attack and want to leave. I always get hit when I go to shogun (seriously), except for this time, thank god.

Oh and shogun had the most amazing ginger salad, literally orgasmic.

As for the melting pot, equally as good. Although I always burn myself, but that's expected I guess frown
