A'ight, so, despite the fact that I totally know the feeling of your self-esteem/stomach/heart/spirit plummeting like a falling elevator, and how hard it is to stop that, look at it objectively.

What if some arrogant, confused, insecure bitch said that about someone you cared about? Like, if I posted that something like that had happened to me in my journal, your first thought would be like "pfft, as IF, elizagirl is rad, and this dumb bitch clearly has no clue, no taste, and no business even talking to Eliza." you wouldn't for a second think I should feel bad, because obviously, we know who's in the wrong.

You have to treat yourself that way, love. If there is one thing I have learned i my life, it is that you have to be your own best friend. People will be there, coming and going, loving you, affecting you, your whole life, but throughout all of it, the constant voice in your head will be your own. So imagine this nasty, shrewish, small-minded Selena cow on myspace said it about your best friend. What do you do? Defend your friend as hard as you can, stand up for her, and then toooooootally dismiss the bitch, because you know what she says is ridiculous.

You are gorgeous, and hilarious, and KIND and sweet and honest, and don't deserve any of that shit, and if you look at it from an outside perspective, you know it.
