I think there is something to be said about a significant other that puts up with his or her partner's obscure work schedule. Whether it's a partner that goes over seas for the military, someone that works for months on end on oil rigs, or in my case, a partner that works very long hours over night, and then has to sleep all day just to get up and do it again. I'm not complaining. I appreciate the work he does in every way possible. I show him that appreciation by keeping the fridge stocked with good beer, and being available for a BJ when he wants one. I'd say I'm pretty damn supportive, however, I'm so frustrated!

He's busting his balls so that I can live an easy life. No, I'm not unemployed, I have a very good, well paying job, and I actually make more than he does, but this nocturnal night shift stuff is pretty hard. I often feel lonely. Especially on the nights when he doesn't get home until 9am. He tells me to sleep while he's gone, but it's really hard to sleep in my huge bed when my guy isn't next to me. I know that sounds cliche', but it's true. I probably get to see him/spend time with him for about an hour a day, while we eat before he goes back to work. And he gets one day off a week most of the time. And when that one day rolls around, he sleeps it away because hes so dog tired. Did I mention his job was really physical? What do I say? Oh well I guess. That's all I can say, right?

Meh. I can deal. But I do have something to say to all the ladies and dudes that have partners that leave for really long periods of time for work. I salute you. I don't know how you do it. I would go insane. I'm really going out of my way to be supportive and not upset with his work hours, I know it's not his fault in any way, but I'll tell you, it's really hard sometimes.

I just want my Robert. frown

Oh well.
Here's something fun if you're Down with the Clown. wink
