"All the signs" just ask him what this shrink talk does mean in detail. Anyway it is of no iterest if "he" is showing any signs. It is first about you.
I am not a psych major but how about an ex-bf who had to live in the shadow of a childhood love having to face the myth and feeling hurt and jealous?
Identify your hurt. Show it to your lover and find out if he is willing to remove its source. If he is not willing and the source is in him, he is the one to be removed.
There is a German proverb which goes, "Lieber ein Ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne Ende!"
("Better a horrific end than horror without an end!" - that is only a rough translation...)

Woo! Congrats to you. The law always is a bit black and white about these things. I know plenty of young teenagers who are perfectly mature enough to deal with proper relationships and all that entails, and I know loads of 30-something year olds who, frankly, aren't. There should be an exam or something....
