so tonight was the night to make something for *me*...like i said, i love baking but not a big fan of actually eating the sweets. last night i soaked some almonds in preparation for homemade almond mylk, Ani Phyo style. YUM!!! I *LOVE LOVE LOVE* homemade raw almond milk!! She has this Mexican Hot Chocolate version that is un-effing-believable. Tonight I had planned on making just the vanilla one, but I didn't realize that for 5 cups of water, you only need 1/2 a cup of almonds and 1/2 a cup of dates...and I had 3 cups of almonds haha THis was a great surprise, so I made a huge batch of vanilla, and a batch of just regular chocolate. So easy and inexpensive I don't know why anyone would buy the stuff at the store, especially the kinds that are full of additives.

If anyone hasn't tried it it's the best and takes like 15 minutes if that (minus the 24 hours of soaking, but that doesnt really count haha).

I bought a papaya the other day and cracked it open to try one for the first time. The fruit was so soft and beautiful I thought it would taste like a tropical vacation. It tasted like vomit. I tried to juice it and the flesh was too soft so it didn't work. And it smelled funny. So I guess i found a fruit i hate...sad times!

Isn't my life fun and exciting?? Time to go pet one of my cats....hah
