My son is getting bigger. He's like 11 pounds. He's constantly outgrowing clothes. I suck at changing diapers. Apparently there's some kind of trick to the way you fold the diaper that keeps poop from getting on the diaper wrap. Mercedes has shown me a couple of times and I just don't get it. Being a new parent is terrifying. There is an endless supply of contradicting advice. Who do you trust. They all have impressive degrees and years of experience and they all say that the other guy is full of shit.

There's never enough time. I've been trying to finish a thing I've be…
my advice (and also the best gift you can get _any_ new parent) is to have a diaper service. I know that when I was buying diapers i would hesitate to change the baby sometimes (because I always default to budgeting/tring to save money) where as when i had a service there was just a flat fee and i could change the baby every 5 minutes if i wanted to without feeling like it was a money concern. it was ultimately so much better for my daughter who _never_ had a rash or had to have dirty pants on.
also the most important advice I cangive you: i learned that when the baby sleeps, i sleep. even if there are a million things I feel like I want to do 'while i have the chance'. it's ultimately easier to do chores with the baby around/awake if the parent has had enough sleep. even if i was driving along and noticed the baby falling asleep i would literally pull over wherever i was and sleep too. get on the baby's sleep schedule and it has AMAZING results
and have fun. f'reals.
