I was reading an article about Pulitzer winning photographer Nick Ut. he's the guy that took the b&w pic of the kids running and screaming after being hit with napalm in Vietnam. I know you've seen the picture. Wikipedia has a whole article related to it.

The naked little girl who is screaming in the photo, Kim Phc, lives in Canada now. She's living in Ontario and is married with two kids. I find that enormously reassuring. It's like something unbelievably shitty happens to you, something so shitty it should have killed you, and in the end you end up a Canadian. I think that's really awesome. I guess I don't really know what her life is like. It could suck. Maybe she's in constant pain or he kids hate her or something. It's probably due to my frame of reference about Canadians. They just seem so happy. They're like Mormons only cool. I bet Ontario is a nice place to live. I mean why not, you know?
