OK, you might not want to hear this, but I do have a Masters in Psych, and ECT is not completely without basis. It was originally a somewhat barbaric idea, but the fact remains that for some people who are otherwise nonresponsive, it can be effective as a last-ditch solution. It's the psychiatric equivalent of kicking a machine that's not working -- sometimes, for whatever reason, it works.

We have The Mayor McBean of Bean Town tomorrow. He turned 5 yesterday, and we're going to have a party for him tomorrow at our apt, and then take him to the ESPN Zone to play arcade games.

I love hearing about houses, too! I finally have one now. My wife and I bought one in northern Vermont where we're moving at some point in the near future (careers careers ).
I also love hearing about cooking, and yes, I'm jealous, but then I ate pretty well last night, so I shouldn't be.

Mom had a particularly tough day yesterday...she is taking physical therapy and it just completely wears her out...but it's helping her. The hardest part of taking care of her, is knowing how active, on the go and hard working she was for all her life until a couple of years ago, when all this hit her. It's tough to see her this way.....struggling so much to stay mobile.

But thanks for picking up my spirits with such a nice compliment.
