these have been a strange few months.
my roommate found out that his father is dying. he went to the doctor because he wasn't feeling well and walked out diagnosed with terminal cancer and a life expectancy of less than six months.

the night before last, the father of a close friend of mine passed away.
i found out that one of my roommate's good friends has AIDS.
i go to lunch with someone and find out that a friend i see everyday is dying from brain cancer that has now spread to her lymphnodes.
she's only 34.
