have completed a 2 week training course for my position as Resident Advisor. RAs are go-to resident students for resident students. training included non-violent crisis intervention, suicide intervention, sexual assault lecture, leadership lectue, 3 day retreat (rafting, bike rides, canoeing, s'mores, capture the flag yadda yadda), diversity acceptence training, the list goes on. last week was move-in, and a gong show for students considering there are parties (in this part of cananda they're called socials) put on by everyone everywhere on campus. i'll be busy this year with classes but the busy job is worth it. such as last night's social. job requires me to be dry the first week of school to properly settle into a leadership position. if leadership is being the sober person to drive a bunch of drunk guys from my floor for a 2 am mcdonalds run, plus he let me drive his super nice speedy car, then im okay with that.



this last one: capture the flag got a little intense rookies vs. returners. rookies won, first time in 5 years

my best girl friend went home to BC(we have both moved away from BC for school) and climbed the Chief with her lil bro. i asked her to take a picture up at the top with a sign with my name or whatever. so remembering my serious love for walruses they did this:

much more to say but i am not interested in recalling the past 21 days to accuratley write. except i did get my 'i love you'. and im really excited about the class 3350 cultures and food patterns. no final exam and we get to present a country or region's food patterns, samples are highly enouraged, the prof says.
plus my best guy friend is in town for a lil while. S met him and they get along. here is the dude at his finest(in yellow):
