Well, I don't go for the whole "tampered-with voting machines" conspiracy theories, etc. I believe that he played by the rules and won fair and square. What pisses me off is this:

Think about it. only half the electorate bothered to turn up and vote. And the voting half of the electorate elected bush by a very narrow majority. What that means is that a measly one quarter of all American citizens actually voted for George Bush. Had the narrow victory gone the other way, John Kerry would be in the same position. But only George W. Bush could possibly be a big enough cocksucker to make such arrogant and blatantly wrong-headed statements.

This is all PR. The idea is that if he says this bullshit enough times, people will start to believe it. It's the way he's always operated. Act first, stand fast, and the people will follow.

And the whole gay marriage amendment thing? Totally manufactured to get right-wing conservatives to the polls. George W. Bush never had any intention of even trying to pass that amendment, and he knew it was impossible anyway. He only made all that noise to "energize his base."
