Okay so I was a bit bummed about my Star-Lord helmet. If you haven't read the status update about it here's a quick overview. Basically the thing overheats to the point where it can catch fire and burn your face off so I ended up having to strip out all the electronics. Well a friend of mine emailed me and told me to bring it into his workshop and he would see what he could do to fix it at no cost to me. I brought it in today and the problem was that the darn thing was equipped with a 9-volt power source when it actually only requires 4-volts to run properly. It was so high that the darn thing literally burns itself out and fries itself. So my friend just built a quick 4-volt power source for me and sure enough my helmet runs perfectly and i'm back in action. He also 3D printed Star-Lord's earpiece from the original movie prop so I now also have the earpiece for my cosplay! I am so happy that I got it fixed and having that earpiece just really makes my cosplay pop! So thankful for all my friends.
