Okay so not counting the animated series (which is the bomb btw) we have had (including the new one) 3 spidermans all with the same basic premise.....an origin story. Well here's the deal, unless you've been living under a rock for oh I don't know ever you know how Peter Parker becomes Spiderman. He gets bitten by a radioactive spider and he gains all these awesome superhuman abilities. Why do we need another reboot of this!?!?!?! Please explain this to me? Not only that but why is Parker always in High School? The Marvel movies are getting darker and darker and have a more adult fanbase. I mean just take a look at the trailer for Civil War that stuff is dark. Can't we have a Spiderman who is in college or at least in real life already?
I'm tired of seeing the same old tired storyline get rebooted over and over and over again. Now look Spiderman is my favorite superhero of all time but the thing is the majority of people know how he becomes this hero. We don't need to see it again over and over. Now that's not even the biggest sin in my book for this whole new Spiderman: Homecoming reboot. What urkes me is that this new guy looks like he's part of a boy band. What made Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield good Peter Parkers is that they were nerdy and dweeby in a way that made them believable. The reason (at least for me) that I love Peter Parker is that he's dweeby but he manages to land Mary Jane and Gwen Stacey because of how smart and great of a guy he is. They don't go for the jock Flash or even Eddy Brock instead they choose Peter Parker because he's a great guy. Now we are choosing these actors not because they'll make a believable Peter Parker but because they appeal to 12yo girls. Now because this new actor looks like he belongs with One Direction all the 12 and 13yo girls will have posters of him and life size cutouts of him. I'm excited to see Spidey in Captain America: Civil War but I am not at all excited for the Spiderman reboot Homecoming. I mean we just had a reboot aobut 2 years ago and it was great I loved The Amazing Spiderman. I don't need another one!!!!!!
P.S. Hollywood since you're doing this anyway at least give us a good fucking villain. Not Sandman, or Green Goblin (again) or Doctor Octopus or anything like that. Give us a good villain like Venom or Carnage.
