Had a great time at Pirate Fest this year and I can't wait until next year to roll around again. The rain was actually fun and me an an old friend of mine Tara (check out her Etsy GearOils) managed to hide out from the rain lol and drink rum! I do have a slight rant though but not about the con just about people in general. So everyone is pirates but I went as Indiana Jones to the fest this year (to look for gold and fortune and glory duh lol). Well one dude comes up and starts insulting (not in a joking way he was serious) my outfit telling me I don't belong because Indy isn't a pirate (that can sort of be disputed) and he's just insulting me on and on and on. After finally just retorting and shutting him up he ran off with his tail between his legs. My point to this is why be a dick? Seriously? I mean Pirate Fest is for everyone to enjoy including people in t-shirts and jeans and it's a joyful fest. Nobody else is being mean and rude so why be a dick? It didn't ruin my experience at all I mean screw that guy obviously he's the one with the problem. Still though "it costs nothing to say something nice and even less to shut up altogether" -Nathan Fillion. So if you're not going to enjoy the con and be nice then why even come. Anyhow I had a great time and the rum was great and the women were sexy and the fest was just all together amazing. I'll post a pic later tonight!!!!!! :D
