So I tried to separate ones that required flavored syrup as a base although they do have recipes for making your own or you can buy some but if you don't want to fill up your pantry with flavored syrup (I know I don't especially since some expire) I decided to go with recipes that don't require flavored syrup. I also made these virgin because during prohibition a lot of faux alcoholic drinks came out since in order to find real alcohol you would have to go to a speakeasy. That is however not the main reason I'm doing virgin drinks though. These drinks anybody can drink so if you want to have a nice party that includes kids or anyone under 21 these drinks are perfect, or if you're like me who doesn't want to drink alcohol when I have college projects these are cool too!!!! I will however post some nice alcoholic recipes too like the sidecar or the tuxedo so don't worry lol!!!!!!

These were all made in bars that were legally run and not speakeasy's during the 1920's. You could order these in a speakeasy but these were for bars that still stayed open during prohibition. During the 1920's many bars were not like the bars we know today, in fact most bars were actually lounges that played jazz and where people came to socialize they were basically clubs. Because these lounges were not just a means for drinking but also for entertainment they had to find a way to get people in the door while still remaining on the "right" side of the law. Many bartenders invented these "virgin" drinks which kept the spirit of alcohol (no pun intended) alive but were legal to drink. These are safe for kids and in fact as a little fun one I've saved the best for last. The most famous and well known drink of Prohibition that many people don't know was actually created for Prohibition......THE FLOAT!!!!!!
BLACK COW
Ingredients:
Cola
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
Glass:Highball
Preparation:Put the ice cream in the glass and slowly pour the cola over it. Be careful as the cola is likely to boil over.
all of these recipes were found with the help of the internet and wordpresses :P Enjoy!!!!
