Okay so I'm a bit pissed off today. So today I heard a news story that I had to rant about because it just angers me so much. Today on the news and on Bing I heard that a schoolteacher was fired from her job. Well I though to myself, she must have done something really bad or illegal. Did she touch someone inappropriately or have a relationship with a student or steal money? NO she gave a free meal to a hungry student who couldn't pay for his food on Christmas. She gave a meal to a child a fucking child!!!! Well she was fired from the school's cafeteria. I bet those heads of the school are really tough when they don't have to look into a child's eyes whose hungry. A child who has no idea if that meal he eats at school will be the only meal he gets. It's really easy to judge and be a selfish bureaucratic asshole when you don't have to be the one looking at the pain or the suffering. This just really urkes me because it's Christmas. The one time a year where everyone should love one another and love their neighbor. Even if you don't like your neighbor on Christmas you should love them. During WWI both sides of the front would cease fire on Christmas and even trade food with enemies. It was a time of peace and giving. This woman tried to make a child's life just a little happier and brighter and she gets fired for it! At the same time a teacher was also told she could not have a pink Christmas tree in her classroom because it might be insulting. She said a quote I thought was smart. "We strive as a society to be tolerant of everything and yet we've become intolerant of everything". I really hope this woman gets her job back or gets a better job. I also hope that, that poor child has a very Merry Christmas and that Santa brings him everything his little heart desires. Merry Christmas to all.
