Hi everyone!
So I'm two days into finals and, of course, the main thing I'm focusing on it my Bay to Breakers costume. For those of you who don't know, Bay to Breakers is one of the most awesome things about San Francisco. It is an annual race that, over the years, has become half-serious runners/ half-absurd costume and nudity early morning drinking massive street party. For people like me (who fall into the second category), the event entails picking a group costume theme and marching through the streets dancing and drinking heavily...then passing out at the Conservatory of Flowers:
The day looks something like this, but less douchie.
Our group is going as Hook (yes, the 1991 Peter Pan classic staring Robin Williams). Personally, I am going as one of the three mermaids. I'm the blue/ green one.
As of yet, the costuming is as follows:
Hair, only in blue:
Tail (I will be sewing this myself...I'll keep you updated on whether that works out):
And everyone's favorite part - the boobies! My "top" for this costume mostly consists of glitter and not much else:
I must admit that making mermaid costumes is a lot more fun than law school exams!
