alright im gunna ask people about their opinion on this. Im a Marine, been in for seven months now. when i came in they were just changing the rules on tattoos. It weant from being yeah you can have what u want to hey we dont want you getting any that you can see outside of a t shirt. they say its for the future when we want to get better jobs but what if we want to sleeve our arms and were not worried about some desk job after the adventures of the marine corps? Tattoos are also kind of a tradition in the marine corps. ive seen drill instructors with full sleeves that now haveto fill out paper work everytime they re enlist. what does everybody think of this kinda shit?

Its BS,but its their rules. I dated a guy that was in the Marines for 12 years. He had a sleeve, but he got it before that rule was in place. He said it was a big deal when they first put it in place. DUMB.

First off, let me thank you for serving your country! Second, I think, the new rules are BS, myself. And as for jobs when you get out, forget desk jobs! There are plenty of government contracts that have no problem with hiring someone who is tatted up, and you make more money when you aren't behind a desk than when you are, in the long run. At my job, it is getting to the point where on my airfield, the more tats you have, the more money you are making. Its funny that it turned out that way, but it did. Go figure.
