One of my best friends in the world who I've known all my life lives in Sweden. Her sister was in New Orleans and they decided to leave when the hurricane hit but her husband stayed to protect the house and whatnot. He just committed suicide not too long ago, he just saw too much shit go down their, and my friend wants to visit her sister and comfort her because this is a horrible tragedy. Her father has a lot of money but wont get her a ticket, his priorities are obviously shitty. So me and my mom were trying to figure out a way to get her a ticket to visit her sister. We finally got my aunt to give us her air miles and we're flying her out here hopefully but even this, she is so poor that not working is going to be really hard on her family. She has 3 kids and she doesn't make a lot of money.

I just wanted to share that story because it's what's on my mind at this point. I wish people were better, especially since her father has the money and the means to help out and is selfishly just ignoring the issue, it kind of just makes me sad. Why can't we all be better to each other. This world has enough shit going on in it. We don't need to be fucked up to one another.
