Long story short, I'm the executor of my grandfather's estate. He owned a red 2001 mustang (rebuilt title, uninsurable but driveable). Anyway. After he died my mother had the keys. When the legal issues were getting under way the lawyer said park all the cars in his name. No driving them. You can't get insurance because you don't own them, etc. I let my mother...

I had the best weekend ever. All my worries and cares were left behind and I was able to spend the weekend just enjoying being alive. I owe it all to one amazing special person. I wish that little vacation could have lasted forever, but it definitely made me want to start saving up for the next one down the road.

I just finished reading up on Florida's concealed firearm laws and self defense laws. And I must say that I approve, except for one little thing that isn't THAT big of a deal. I'm going there this weekend to spend some time on the beach. It'll be nice to get away, and I'm glad I won't have to leave the 1911 behing...probably wouldn't be going...

I never understood before
I never knew what love was for
My heart was broke, my head was sore
What a feeling

Tied up in ancient history
I didnt believe in destiny
I look up you're standing next to me
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
Brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, i don't care
I'm...

I'm feeling destructive. I want to punch something. I want to kick, rip, tear, bite, scratch, maul, slam, bash, smash, and generally fuck something up. I'd like to punch a punching bag until my fists bleed. I want to attack a newly built house with a sledge hammer.

I want my outside world to reflect the turmoil of my inside world. But it doesn't. I'm...

So, I've had to discover some inexpensive ways to keep myself entertained this weekend since this past ween was a lean one in the money department. I've spent most of my free time reading or watching movies. I've made it through the entire Lord of the Rings special extended editions. That was a lot of fun. I've also alomst completed Time Enough For Love by...

I have hunted places with an open-sighted 30/30, where I wished I had a shotgun with buckshot due to the limited sight distance.

Are you going to still-hunt, or use treestands? I now have 8 treestands...and no where to hang them. I know that if I am home long enough to scout some stuff next year they will see some use for whitetails, but this year I will be hunting mule deer with a rifle since those areas are the only ones I have had a chance to dig into while I've been home (and I don't have the motivation or time to try and bowhunt a mule deer this year).

The Philosophy of Robert I (or Trying to Figure Out What Is the Right Thing To Do)

The difference between "Wants" and "Needs"

Every human being has wants and needs. Wants and needs are essential to existing as a human being. Lacking either wants or needs results in the negation of humanity.

"Needs" are what the body requires to survive. A human being's 'needs' are...

Tonight I did something I've been wanting to do for over three years. I walked up to one of my bosses at WalMart and said, "I quit."

I've got a new job and I am so fucking glad to be out of that hell. biggrin

Not such a bad gig. I'm a Journeyman Electrician and will make 60-70K this year. If you like the work, stick with it. Even when you get tired of the kind of work you do, you can jump ship, go to another company, and work on something new and interesting (that is how I am working on controls and nuclear reasearch stuff these days). The field is broad enough you can always find something to stimulate your mind if what you are doing is getting old.

Here are my ideas for the next few tattoos I want:

First, I'm going to use the pattern of a stone arrowhead to put two RED arrows pointing forward on the outside of my upper arms about midway between my elbow joints and my shoulders. These will be to remind me to always keep moving forward. The idea comes from similar tattoos one of the...
