Shortly after viewing that, a friend sent me this little gem:
So picture a guy walking into a restaurant in a seedier part of town when he passes a homeless dude begging for change. He ignores the begger, goes in and orders. Eats his meal. When the waiter comes over smiling...wearing an Obama pin proudly.
OMG - that sounds high-larious! I would give anything to see what I look like falling down I bet it's terribly funny. I was actually doing pretty well, I'm like a weeble, I wobble but I don't fall down... until last night.

Just finished reading the AMA's proposal for fixing the health care system at VoiceForTheUninsured.
I could support it if some changes where made. One thing that would have to go would be this: People who are uninsured despite being able to afford coverage should face tax implications. What the fuck? Here is my problem with this...they want to give a tax break to anyone... Read More
The problem is, that many people who use your argument do not follow though with their "plan" to just pay their medical bills out of their own pocket. That is why medical bills rank near the top of collection agency revenues. All of us, including those who DO pay cash for medical treatment pay for those bad debts though higher medical fees, which drives the cost of insurance higher still.
I am not totally disagreeing with you, but on a large scale we can't leave a lot of people to do the right thing. If a feasible plan is not instituted, I think you may be seeing medical care given only to those who can pay at the time of service. Insurance or all cash up front. Which for a major problem, would either drain your account, or leave you without care.
My physician, for instance, will no longer see you if you can not pay 100% of your projected co-pay BEFORE your visit. No pay, hit the door, even with insurance.
I see what you are saying, and I agree. People can't pay out of pocket. They can't afford it. My point was that with 'basic coverage' people can't afford their co-pays and deductibles anyway, so it's a moot point. If we cover everybody cost will keep going up, not down. Once a seller realizes you are going to pay a certain price they'll keep selling it to you. I don't doubt their will be some fluctuations, just like with fuel prices. But I think just like with fuel prices you'll always be paying a little more today than you were a year ago. The only way I know that would bring down health care cost would be to enact price controls. We do that, and we can say goodbye to quality healthcare.
And my biggest problem with this plan, as I said, it that it seeks to punish those who don't have health insurance. I've got a medical bill I've had since 2005. I'm paying it as slowly as I possibly can even though I've had two chances to pay it off completely. The reason? For one, the service was not on par with the bill. The doctor got paid. The ambulance got paid. My x-rays and scripts got paid. Then they charged me 4,000 dollars just for walking in the door? I'm still not sure what I was paying for that time. Then to top it off I got a bill for it. The bill arrived consistently one day after it was due. I didn't even have a chance to pay on time before they were sending me into collections. So fuck'em. The medical industry created this problem, not I.
From the Livejournal of Oleg Volk concerning the gun forum The High Road
In December 2002, I founded The High Road forum dedicated to the advancement of responsible gun ownership. Recently, it was discovered that in 2006, the volunteer forum systems administrator, Derek Zeanah of Statesboro, Georgia, changed domain registration to himself. After he was confronted, Derek locked out all other staff from accessing the... Read More
Damn... THR was a site I used quite a bit for detailed information. It is a shame that it has to come to this, but I support the Intellectual Property Owner. As an IT professional, we need to keep our clients situations and IP secure. This was both a disgrace to gun owners and to IT professionals.
Dont worry, you are young, and all those things will come. I have everything in your pictures (including the girl) many times over, but it did not come all at once.
Have patience, keep your eye on the goal (one at a time), and you'll have whatever you want.
In regards to the previous post, you can have the best of both worlds. Look for a German Shepperd Rescue on the net. Most purebred breeds have Rescues associated with them. The dogs generally are living with foster families while waiting to be placed and they can give you really good insight into their personality and behavior. Our last Boxer came from a Rescue which speciallized in Boxers and Mastiffs.
It's all true, too. We have quite a few toys; pistols, AR's, target rifles, bows, 4-wheelers, boat, RV, motorcyles, etc...and we just picked them up one at a time...and so can you!
