Looks like I'm going to be out of the job in the next week or two. My boss can't afford to keep me employed anymore. Thanks for all your help to the small business man Uncle Sam!

My boss gave me today with pay to start the job hunt, and is going to let me work another week or two just to help with cash flow.

I called 15 places today to see if anyone is accepting applications. Six didn't answer. Nine are not hiring, but two are willing to take my application, one of which I have to call back this afternoon. The owner says they've got some things coming up that they may bring some help in on. Maybe that will go somewhere. I'm going to call the six that didn't answer back, and leave messages if I don't get an answer again (most had voice mail).

I may have to apply for unemployment compensation. I'm not happy about that. I've never had to do it before, and I know the benefits will barely cover my bills, if they cover them at all. I'm going to do my best to get another full time job before then, but I don't know if that will happen.
