i watched "the indian runner" again tonight...... what a powerful film...... it never dawned on me 'til a few months ago that the premise for the film came from my favorite song on springsteen's "nebraska" album..... all is well in these parts, except i went to a going-away party for my uncle brad...... the 50 year old farmer re-enlisted in the national guard..... he and his step-son leave tomorrow for kansas, and in a month....... iraq....... so all is not well in these parts.......

They should send giant sound systems over there and Metal Machine Music on repeat. Plus put a grande amount of pure LSD in the water supply. Solution solved.
